The Institute of Science and Technology Austria had invited participants of the FENS Forum 2024 to the ISTA Salon on June 25. An opportunity for scientists from around the world to get to know the renowned Austrian research institution and to exchange ideas with colleagues.
This has been my third time working in the beautiful setting of K47, one of the coolest event locations in Vienna.

Professor Tim Vogels introduced the scientific institution based in Klosterneuburg. He encouraged the audience to engage in discussions at the ISTA Salon and emphasized the importance of networking in science.
The musical program of the ISTA Salon was provided by a string quartet. Wonderfully interpreted pieces by Beethoven filled the room with magical sounds and offered a perfect transition from the formal part of the evening to a relaxed get-together.
It was fascinating to observe how scientists from various disciplines engaged in conversations, exchanged ideas, and formed new connections.
The evening at K47 impressively demonstrated how important such events are for scientific exchange. And it was an experience full of inspiration, wonderful music, and excellent food. As a photographer, it was a pleasure for me to witness all of this and capture special moments of the evening through photography.
